Dreadful Ping!
Hey guys!
Since Friday evening I have 115k ping.I phoned my provider they said that there are no problems.I checked all wires they are ok.Checked inet it was ok 2.I tried to reconnect all wires didnt help.The rebooting of router didnt help 2. I use Dlink ADSL router and intergrated card SIS 190.I have never had such problems. Could AB EVENT be reason of it? Thank You! |

Your currently in Russia and using American servers right? Or are you in Euro server of Asia? That might make a difference...
As for the event...it might be a tad bit laggier but nothing compared to what you are experiencing. I would have to guess something isnt right in your Router or Modem box. Just my thoughts, -tiki |

Hmmm......
My guess would be your modem box is going out, or something happend to line to your house, or the router is going out. Random guesses. When I used to experience insanely high lag, I would swap out my modem @ the provider and it would be fixed. How is your speed connecting to other things? Website load times...things like that? |

I am also getting a similar problem ever since friday evening. My connection speed is normaly 54.0 mbps but when I load up Guild Wars and select my character the speed drops to 1.0 mbps causing major lag (25,000+ pings).
I am from the U.K, use the european servers, and have not downloaded anything before, after or during friday evening. I thought maybe it was one of my programs messing around with my connection but when I checked my other programs my connection was fine, no problem, I'm now thinking it is because of this new allience battle double faction event. I am very upset that my connection is messing up, as I would have loved to be allience battling and gaining my next title, I did enter allience battle but was met with a wall of lag. this problem has made Guild Wars almost impossible to play. |
